Yeah, yeah, yeah.
How did you tease this buried information so closely held for so many years?
Clearly, you also have powers to be reckoned with.
SERIOUSLY, though, I always thought this was Paul needling John about Cynthia and his groupie-fucking.
You cheated on her, and she broke up with you. Now you want her back. You keep going on about it. Paul says he saw her yesterday. Well, he’s lying. He didn’t see her yesterday. She didn’t tell him what to say. He’s just tired of your whining.
The truth is, he has no idea whether she’ll take you back or not. He suspects she will. He hopes she will. But in his mind, anything is better than your endless yammering about this girl who got away.
Look, if you really wish you had her back, be a man. Apologize to her. Get out of Paul’s face. He’s got more important things to think about, like whether his girl is really going to cut him off if he doesn’t come up with a diamond ring. He doesn’t care too much for money, but he’s not happy about the fact that she’s so hung up on expensive jewelry. Is that all she wants him for? On the other hand, it’s true, money doesn’t buy you love. But what it does buy you isn’t bad.
Jesus, that McCartney is a cold, manipulative bastard.
