Superman’s S-curl tips the scale in favor of asymmetry for him.
My concern here is not so much symmetry as it is coolness.
So the fearfulness is also a misnomer?
I think what Whitman was getting at was that there’s something fearful about all symmetries. Just ask Stanley Kubrick. In any case, Justice League seems to use its full-on shots for moments of fear or intimidation.

Todd, when it comes to movies, I could talk with you forever… and ever… and ever… and ever… and ever… and…
I am filled with deja vu again.
Didn’t you just say that a minute ago?
I’m sure that’s just a glitch.
I just realized this has a cut. Congratulations, sir!
It was Blake who discussed fearful symmetry. Whitman’s the one who wrote about man-balls.
Damn — it’s all because John Adams did a piece on Whitman and called it “Fearful Symmetries” for some reason. Fucker.
Chocolyte, chocolyte, burning bright
I think he was talking about the samplers.

Never trust a minimalist.
That’s a good maxim.
Perfection is a scary thing.
