ps: I had forgotten that Ben Stiller was in this movie. How strange it is to see him show up.
Production design on the picture is staggering, as is Christian Bale’s performance
And now he’s Batman.
Does that mean in 10 years Haley Joel Osment will play Batman?
I’m glad that you started your journal about movies. I’m interested to read what you have to say. Unfortunately, it’s been so long since I’ve seen these movies that I really can’t comment on them.
Haven’t seen that since it came out almost 20 years ago. I don’t remember Ben Stiller in it, although I do remember him in John Guare’s “The House of Blue Leaves” on Broadway circa ’86-’87 because he was playing the son Ronnie (a role originated off-Broadway in the sixties by William Atherton who would go on to star in Spielberg’s “Sugarland Express”) and I’d wanted to play that role since I’d read the play in community college. I
snuckmade my way backstage, found Ben Stiller, complimented him and told him how much I liked that character. He was very nice and asked if I was an actor. I said yes although it would be several years before I was a professional. Many years later I would observe Ben Stiller meeting someone in the lobby of my New York apartment building. I’m too old to play Ronnie now.
