According to one blogger on DailyKos, corporate media has been saying, “Counter-culture comedian and hero famed for his routines about drugs and dirty words dies of heart failure. He was 71.”

I can’t bring myself to go check, but I believe it. The corporate media would reduce someone like Carlin to the lowest possible element. Carlin was too much of a truth-teller for them to treat him with any respect.

  2. That’s a bit of a blow…(pun not intended)

I was really enjoying that and did not understand the context – I was reminded of the BBC3 show The C Word and how the c-word (See you next Tuesday in Teacher-speak) had been liberally used by the lower and upper classes (including royalty) but shunned by the aspiring middle classes… I was a bit off topic. Thanks for this snippet.

Seems like Death is on an adventure holiday right now…
