Dale Goodson
Dale is an old friend of mine from NYC, one of the most talented performance artists I ever worked with. His work is weird, oblique and original (the video above has to rank as one of his most direct, straightforward pieces. He now has a website, which I urge you to investigate.
What you’re missing is the 30 years of material that preceded this. And yes, there is a certain amount of irony here as Dale plays with the notion of what a protest song should be.
Dale’s heart is on his sleeve in this piece, as it tends to be regarding politics. Hell, even Urbaniak and I can lose our ironic edge when discussing Bush. Most of Dale’s material is much more oblique, poetic and free-associative, as you may see on his website.
